Ed Glassman joined Brighton Park Capital as a Senior Advisor in March of 2021. He currently serves on the board of Datavisor, a Brighton Park portfolio company, as an observer.
Ed has worked at the intersection of business and technology, with a focus on how new solutions can help drive massive change in the way customer problems are solved at scale. From transforming global drug development to changing the way money and information are connected and delivered around the world, his passion for the possible and a drive to make big things happen has been a recipe for impact. Ed is currently the President of Canyon Group, an advisory firm dedicated to helping Private Equity firms find and develop great fintechs into very high-performance companies.
At Mastercard, he led the global Commercial B2B business, responsible for strategy, business development, product and services worldwide. The growth in this business led Mastercard to double-down on B2B, making it a central pillar of their corporate strategy. He was also responsible for all customers in North America in B2B, Cobrand, Fintech Services, Prepaid and Wealth Management, supporting some of the largest banks in the US and many of the fastest-growing, most innovative companies in the market.
Ed has held senior management positions in Commercial Banking at Citibank, ABN AMRO and Royal Bank of Scotland. His responsibilities have included both business and technology areas, including global development and delivery of Treasury Products and Services for clients around the world. Ed lead the Commercial Cards platform at Citibank. Then as head of Global Product Development for Treasury Services (GTS) at Citibank, he lead the development, deployment and mass commercialization of CitiDirect across the world. This market-leading commercial e-banking solution delivered both traditional and new GTS products and services to customers in every geography. At ABN AMRO, he lead the global product organization in its stellar growth, helping ABN AMRO to become one of the pre-eminent GTS banks in the world and the “jewel in the crown” of the firm. He also served as Chief Information Officer for the GTS businesses at ABN AMRO and RBS.
Ed has also worked in Corporate roles at IBM and Pfizer where he was Corporate Head of IT Strategy. Ed earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from MIT. He lives in Florida, enjoys skiing and golf, and is actively involved in his community.
